This is the 2nd year of U3A Sea Swimming – well in all honesty it is just bay swimming!
We meet at various bays and on different days and times in order to enable more members to join in and to enjoy our wonderful choice of bays at their best stages of the tides.
It is all very relaxed – we swim across the bays for about 25 – 50 metres just in our depth and then turn around. Members can get out when they wish – swim for as long and short as you want.
We usually get together at a kiosk for refreshments and a chat afterwards.
I am a Royal Life Saving Society qualified supervisor so will look after members as needed.
I would like to know if members have any special medical needs that I should know about before entering the water.
It is important that all members have their ‘In case of emergency’ (ICE) contact number in their beach bag – either in an unlocked mobile or noted on paper.
To join these swims just turn up and join in – I will take a register and ask for your membership number

_If the weather looks doubtful I will be at the meeting point anyway and we can then decide if we wish to cancel. We usually get together at a kiosk for refreshments and a chat afterwards.
There is no need to contact me unless you have any queries.
I look forward to swimming with some of you.
