Learn Live Laugh

Is it for me?
No longer working full-time or raising a family? Now’s the time to make the most of life. u3a gives you the chance to develop your interests, make new friends and enjoy yourself. We have 300 members and nearly thirty interest groups. We are a friendly, self help organisation for those in the Great Glen, Oadby and surrounding areas.

What do you do?
Our aim is to provide continued learning, and the opportunity to make new friends, in a sociable environment. You can join a wide range of interest groups run by our members, and a monthly meeting with a visiting speaker. All members are sent our newsletter each month. See some recent edition at Newsletter.

These include educational, physical and social activities, but above all need to be FUN. We have no formal tuition and no qualifications are required. Groups function on a self-help basis. Members decide the group activities. Through the u3a we all develop skills, perfect a hobby or just enjoy the company of companions. Whether one wants to enjoy music because it sounds nice, or wants to delve into the life of the composer is decided by group members.

Which groups are meeting this month?
Most groups are meeting face to face. A few groups are meeting on Zoom and History is hybrid face to face and on zoom.

All our zoom meetings are free just ask the Group leader for an invitation. The Monthly meeting is via Zoom. Groups meeting via Zoom are:
