The Greater Thame U3A wishes you a warm welcome to our Website
The U3A is an organisation made up of independent groups run by their members who are normally retired or semi-retired and wish to use some of their leisure time to acquire new knowledge and skills and to meet like-minded people. All U3A groups are affiliated to the Third Age Trust, the history and organisation of which can be found by following the link on this page.
Greater Thame U3A began in November 2004 with 62 members and now has about 150 members. A main meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month at the Thame Barns Centre. This provides an opportunity to hear a variety of speakers and to meet other members over refreshments. The current programme is given by following the link to the Events page.
Greater Thame U3A has around 15 activity groups run by our members, which cover a wide range of interests. Information about our Groups and their latest programmes can be found be following the link to the Groups page.
