New Age Kurling
New Age Kurling is a form of the original curling game, but adapted so that it can be played indoors on any smooth, flat surface, such as a sports hall, rather than on ice. Importantly, the game can be played by both able bodied and disabled people of all ages. The sport has been used as part of rehabilitation programs in hospitals because it doesn't require any physical fitness to play, but exercises muscles you would not normally use. Our group meets on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at the Meres Leisure Centre, Grantham from 10.00am to 12.00pm. This group has a membership fee of £1 per session, payable on the day, which covers the cost of the hire of the court. New members are always welcome. However, please contact the group leader before the Friday preceding the meeting to enable him to arrange the team composition and game schedule.
