Julia is the main Contact for the group and is very happy for new members to join the group to sample this interesting and peaceful hobby.
The group regularly visits Titchfield Haven our beautiful local Bird Reserve, but other locations may be considered according to the season and if we have sufficient drivers to share transport. Beginners and experienced birdwatchers are all very welcome to come along.
Payment for entry is required @ £4.50 per session for concessions but Annual Membership of the Centre can be purchased at £50 for a single person. Binoculars are available for loan for the session at no charge.
NOTE Titchfield Haven is now open but on a restricted basis due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is now open for Members and Non Members on a pre booked basis only. Membership and Booking is online via the website up to 2 weeks in advance. Social distancing applies and time is limited to 15 minutes in the hides if people are waiting, numbers being subject to the size of the hides. The cafe is open on a takeaway basis with seating in the gardens.
You can use the off road viewing areas at Hill Head
without going into the Haven which often provide interesting sightings.
You can also check on Go Birding Hampshire to see which birds have been seen and where. You may be lucky to spot them if you live in the area listed. Hopefully you will be treated to your own sightings in your gardens or visited areas.
