It was wonderful to meet up again on the 23rd September. We discussed the books we have been reading since February and the covered fiction and non-fiction; detective novels which also told about life in various countries; biographies and travel books.
We have room for new members if anyone would like to come and give us a try - we would be delighted to see you. The library supplies the books we read so there is no expense involved (unless you join us for tea and a sticky bun after the meeting). I don't have a list of books for the rest of this year but below you will see some of the titles we have for next year.
For those of you who love reading and don't have enough reading matter at home because you use the library they have BorrowBox for those of you with tablets or computers so you can download books to read at home. They do have a huge range of titles but if you are looking for suggestions you might like to try some of those we should have been reading - starting with Madame Bovary.
If you are interested in joining the group please contact me either by ringing on the number above or click on the envelope at the top right hand corner and send me an email
In the meantime take care of yourselves
