We are a lively group who very much enjoy our meetings, taking it in turns to lead on a chosen poet or theme. Everyone is encouraged to contribute. We would very much like to increase our numbers, so new members would be very welcome.

This year we have enjoyed sessions on John Masefield and the Sea, Poets of Slavery and Freedom, Poet Laureates and 20th Century women poets. Our general themes were Autumn in September, and Celebrations of all kinds in November.

This year we have chosen a selection of mostly 20th Century poets to explore. In January we looked at W.H. Auden, and February was a particularly enjoyable session remembering John Betjeman.

Dates for your Diary
Wed May 8th Summer - a general theme, everyone to contribute
Wed Jun 12th Australian Poetry - Marcia Griffin
