As I am sure you will be aware there are no Gosport U3A meetings at present - hopefully it won't be too long though before we can meet again. In the meantime you can see the topics for each month and you might like to do some research still on each one. Helps to keep those little grey cells active.
Also a number of museums and art galleries throughout the world offer virtual tours so you might like to explore them. Maybe those in countries you might not visit. Here are a few sites you might like to explore (they all start with https://bit.ly/):-
The Vatican - https://bit.ly/3ch64h4
Stonehenge - 34F3crP
Palace of Versailles - 3cmFH9t
Machu Picchu - 2REVf0c
Petra - 3cma4NI
The Colosseum - 3af7eZc
We are a friendly group with a shared interest in history. If you are interested in joining us please let me (Yvonne) know. None of us are experts but we enjoy learning a little bit about a wide variety of topics. Either ring me or click on the envelope in the top right hand corner and send me an email.
Below you will find the programme for this year and part of next year.
For anyone who is interested in general history come and give us a try. There is no compulsion to contribute each month, if your preference is to just come along and hear what we have to say that is fine. It is just an opportunity to explore the past and in some cases the present. After all yesterday is history.
