Cut off from the modern world, Laura and Suzanne find themselves drawn into the dark history of the Croft and the lives that passed before them.

Kay Mellor’s “Band of Gold” which was a ground-breaking crime drama first shown on ITV. This nail-biting murderous thriller revolves around a group of women – Carol, Rose, Anita and Gina – as they battle to survive whilst working in a notorious red-light district.

Price £26.00 each, booking deadline is 28 February
Ian Heslop and Nick Newman’s (who were the chaps who wrote “Wipers Times”) new play entitled “A Bunch of Amateurs”
Keen to boost his flagging career, fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford – only to find that this is not the birthplace of Shakespeare but a sleepy Suffolk village and instead of starring alongside Kenneth Branagh and Dame Judi Dench, the cast are a bunch of amateurs trying to save their theatre from ruthless developers.

As usual, please make cheques payable to Gloucester U3A and send them to Ann Williams,
7 Lloyd Baker Court, Cornfield Drive, Hardwicke, Gloucester, GL2 4TN by the closing dates shown above (and individual cheques for each one please, I can’t get the books right if one cheque covers more than one theatre trip). Please send me stamped addressed envelopes if you want me to post your tickets to you.
Any questions, please give me a call on 723901.
