We don't race, as most of our outings are timed at 9mph.
We aim to have two stops (at least one in a pub) per journey.
You don't have to ride the whole journey loop.
Our outings are usually in the drier months.
(1) The reverse of the 1st 2018 ride, but our first stop will be the new pub at Waterwells. Then to Gloucester Services (S), and then home.
(1) Through Matson heading to Brookthorpe, but having a comfort stop at Gloucester Services (S). Onwards, into Hardwicke with a stop at "The Pilot Inn". Then returning to Gloucester via the canal tow-path. About 16 miles.
(2) Through Churchdown to "The Aviator" for a bite to eat. Then along Brockworth Road to Shurdington, and around the back past Bentham, with a stop at "The Seven Bells". Homeward bound into Gloucester, down Ermin Street. About 18 miles.
(3) Through Maismore, to Hartpury and onto Ashleworth, Tirley and ending up at "The Yew Tree" for lunch. Back to Tirley and then over Haw Bridge heading toward Wainlode Hill, with a possible stop at "The Red Lion". Then via the A38 turning into Sandhurst and back into Gloucester. About 25 miles,
If you would like to join us, please let me know (using the carrier pigeon up on the right). If you have a route you would like us to consider, especially with a pub on it, at about the half-way mark, again let me know
