French (Conversation)

The French Conversation Group has been running since 1988. In spite of its name it is not purely French Conversation although you do need to have some basic knowledge of the language. If you still remember some French from your schooldays, or if you have picked up some French from holidays or visits to France, you will probably be OK. There are, on average, about 12-14 members at each meeting which takes place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. The class lasts from 10:30 until 12:00 in the Gloucester Arts Centre

At each meeting we study an article in French, provided by the leader, (from a book, newspaper, magazine etc.) and discuss any grammatical points that may occur in the article. Members are also encouraged to recount in French any interesting event that has occurred. From time to time we have " role playing" and grammatical exercises but these are not done in a classroom atmosphere! The aim of this group is to enjoy everything French.

Et bien, si vous aimez lire et parler français, rejoignez notre groupe, vous serez les bienvenus.
