Archaeology

The above was started in 1995 by Attoinette Bowesman who run it on her own for the first year. The following year it was run by a committee headed by Gordon Brown, plus Iris German, Winnie Jones and Sheila Morgan. About three years ago Ann Williams joined the committee and Iris helped out when needed. In 2014, Winnie Jones left the committee as she was moving down to Dorset, and Sheila Morgan left because of ill health. Carole Mockford has joined the committee and Iris German is back with us again

The group meets at the Guildhall at 10.30am on the 2nd Thursday in the month in the winter, with talks related to Archaeology or History. In May, June, July and September we go on coach trips to NT properties or other venues seemed appropriate to Archaeology or History. We do not run an outing in August as we have found by experience that a lot of grandparents are looking after grandchildren.

Please contact Ann Williams for further details.
