Our walking group resumed again on April 19th, with a lovely walk around Oaks in Charnwood.
We walked in '6's! and kept our 'social distances', which was a bit difficult at first, but with 'gentle
reminders' during the walk, I think we achieved it! Everyone was aware of the risks, and we soon
got into the rhythm of this way of walking.
We had set up a Whatsapp group, so kept in touch with each other during the lockdown.
We walk on the 1st and 3rd Mondays in the month, and since April have walked on a regular basis.
Previously we have had lunch after our walk, however this has not been possible in the majority of
cases, as either places to eat were closed, or not open on Mondays, but we did manage some picnics
dependent on the weather!
Please contact Dot Hollins, the Group Coordinator, via the send a message link above for further information, if you wish to join the group or volunteer to lead a walk.
