The group continues to thrive and attract new members keen to learn new skills, share their knowledge & enthusiasm and most of all enjoy their digital photography hobby. The Group now meets in the "Community Space", in the Tesco Beaumont Leys store, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 2.00pm to 4.30pm.
Our meetings usually include a 30 to 45 minute topic presented by members, followed by a review of the project photos taken in the month - subjects have included the garden, nature, architecture, transport, circles, autumn colour etc. To give us more practical experience we also organise regular outings to places of interest.
To embrace the digital age, two of our members have created a Facebook page and FlickR website for members to upload their favourite photos. You can also see a selection of our photos on the Glenfield U3A website.
We are a friendly group and new members of all abilities are most welcome to join. Please contact Michael Barbour, The Group Coordinator for information via the Message link above.
