Need a bit of help getting to grips with a new laptop, a tablet or a smart phone?
Support is available to show you how to get the most from your sometimes-confusing piece of technology. The support given is better than a manual – new devices don’t come with one and you can’t ask questions of the on-line ones. It’s more productive to sit with someone who can show you how to get your device to do what you want it to do – you get to have a go and ask questions about the stuff that is of interest to you … emailing, downloading and using apps, texting, setting reminders, understanding data roaming, web browsing, phoning, video calling, taking photos, sharing photos etc.
Please note that we do not offer hardware repairs but may be able to fix software or configuration issues if they are the cause of problems.

It would be really helpful if you could let the group know something about your device:
is it a phone, tablet or a PC?
the make e.g. Apple iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy J3
or, in the case of a laptop the type of operating system e.g. Windows XP, 7, 8, 10 etc
Could you also give us an idea of the type of help that you would like e.g.
A beginner wanting general help in setting up
A particular need such as using photos, maps etc
