Local History
From February we will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month, (instead of the last, as previously) at Croftlands Community Centre, Ulverston. at 2.00pm.
Our meeting on Tuesday 26th November is in Croftlands community hall at 2pm prompt. The talk is on the regeneration of Ulverston canal given by Colin Smith. All members who have put their names down for the Christmas lunch on 28th January
2020 and who have not yet paid, please do so by the U3A November 12th meeting at thelatest.

On 21st May we had our first outdoor outing of the season. Following his very entertaining talk to us earlier this year Stephen Cove took us on an interesting guided tour of Millom finishing at the museum.

EARLIER OUTING TO HOGHTON TOWER Nr PRESTON

The house is pleasing from every angle, with residential wings around a courtyard, so that all the rooms have a double aspect.
