Love to Read

An activity which is easy to do in isolation or with social distancing? Yes, Reading! However, those in book groups enjoy the social interaction and discussion of many books and some we would not have chosen ourselves. Sometimes having that meeting deadline date spurs one on to finish the chosen book of the month. If it is a book that you have enjoyed and recommended the anticipation of waiting to hear if others in the Group have loved/not loved/abandoned your choice.

Love to Read met on Zoom for the first time in November. At the same time that we would have been meeting in the Coro, faces “popped -up” on the screens of those able to join in for a 40 minute chat. Thanks to Dawn Elsworth for hosting the Group and we plan to meet next month in the same way.

We will wait for U3A Guidance to be able to meet in person again as we continue with our Love of Reading.
Marguerite

(Pre-Covid-19)“Love to Read” meet on the 3rd Monday of the month, 1030 -1130 in the Coro. Email Marguerite for further information.

(We are full at 12 members but there are a number of Reading groups in Furness U3A, so see the Groups page for those that are taking new members)
