Walking

We have have 2 walks a month. One on the 2nd Monday and one on the 4th Friday. Walks vary between 4 and 8 miles.

All walks start at 10.30am prompt unless indicated otherwise.

Fri Apr 26th Bluebell Walk through Warburton wood. Led by Anita.
Sun Apr 28th Frodsham Festival of walks U3A Walk.
Meet at 2pm at Lady Heyes, Kingsley Road, WA6 6SU

A 5 mile circular walk, from Lady Heyes across fields to Frodsham Cut and the River Weaver via Bradley Orchard and Belleair Farm. Dogs on short leads welcome but be aware that this route will cross pasture with grazing cattle.

Mon May 13th Guided walking tour of Shrewsbury Town.
Meet at Frodsham Station at for 9.38am train, arriving in Shrewsbury 11.13am.
Cost of train with a railcard is about £13. Cost of the tour is £65 shared between all those who attend, so the more people go the less it will cost.
Return train; 15.29pm - arriving Frodsham 17.34 or 16.25 arriving 18.29
Fri May 24th Walk around Alvanley area. About five miles. Led by Shirley.
Meet at 10.30am at The White Lion, Manley Rd, WA6 9DD or 10am at FCC for car sharing.
