If you took any photographs on the morning or have a comment you would like to share with other members please send them to me. at firstname.lastname@example.org
There is no time limit, I will add articles as they come in.
Let us show our appreciation to Kathryn and her team of dedicated volunteers for the organisation and hard work put into making the occasion memorable and to Irene and Sandra for the fantastic raffle prizes received by the lucky winners and to 'Turn Back Time' for that rousing Land of Hope and Glory!
(Sweet Caroline ??? is she a member ???) 😊
What an amazing party the Jubilee celebration was, I had a fantastic time and made some new friends into the bargain!
I knew very few of the quiz answers but it made an excellent start to conversation on the table.
Loved the music and watching all the flag waving and dancing.
The raffle prizes looked out of this world and the little elephant so lovingly crafted played his part too.
Thanks to all those involved in organising the event - I knew the minute that I walked in, and saw how fabulous the room looked, that we were in for a great time.
Love and best wishes to all
What an incredible morning we had, thank you for coming and making it so memorable.
Thank you to all the volunteers, Kathryn for putting everything together, and my sister Sandra who has worked tirelessly helping me put together the raffle prizes and the bring and buy.
We made nearly £300 today on the raffle and £600 on the bring and buy.
What will we spend that money on that's why we have the suggestion book, looking forward to your suggestions
Onwards and upwards for the Forest Town U3A.

A lovely morning at the Jubilee, very well organised a lot of planning has gone into this event.
But it was so good to see everyone enjoying themselves.
And thank you to everyone for all the effort you put into this event.
What a wonderful morning we had, celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee! I think the sense of togetherness and companionship and pride was evident throughout, and made one aware of what a strong group we have. Superb organisation on the part of Kathryn; and hard work and dedication from Irene and her sister. What can I say?...... the band were fab! Dancing to “Sweet Caroline” at the end, with everyone singing and waving their flags, was a heart-lifting moment.
Happy memories for Forest Town u3a!
