Forest Of Dean

About Us

Welcome to the Forest of Dean U3A. We are one of over 900 U3As in Britain. We were disappointed to not being able to celebrate our 30th Anniversary in 2020 due to the restrictions that were in place at the time.

The U3A is a national organisation which is open to anyone who is not in full time work. At the Forest of Dean U3A we have a range of groups catering for a variety of interests; please click on the 'Contact' tab for more information.

We hold a Monthly Open Meeting which is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at Lydney Town Hall (doors open at 1pm for 2pm start, event finishing by 4pm). There is the opportunity to find out more about the various interest groups / activities, to join the Forest of Dean U3A and to chat with other members and friends. There is limited car parking at the Town Hall but there is a public car park at the Library - the post code is GL15 5DY.

Forest of Dean U3A is an excellent way of making new friends as well as gaining new skills and interests. New members can be assured of a warm welcome so if you are interested please contact our Membership Secretary using the 'Contact' tab for more information. or simply come to a monthly meeting as a guest and "give us a try".

The annual membership fee is £12 per year from 1 July – 30 June. An Application form can be found by clicking the link on the right (if you want to fill it out prior to attending a group).
