Book Club

If you have read a book and felt that you would like to discuss it with someone else who had read it , then a BOOK READING group is for you.

The big difference is that a group may contain 10 to 14 people and you do not get to pick the book. A common comment is “ I would never have dreamed of picking that book up”, but I really enjoyed it!”

The U3A book reading group have had some surprising results with members discovering new authors, new interests and experiencing diverse opinions from the group.

We have one rule, please read the first 70 pages of the book. After that you are allowed to give up, But we will want to know why!

Our group reads about 10 books a year, allowing for seasonal breaks, so it is not too onerous.

And our favorite book to date - Stieg Larsons millennium Trilogy “The girl with the Dragon Tattoo” etc.

This group is currently full. If you would like to go on the waiting list please contact Mr Fred Ridley by using the link to Book club Contact for Group Organiser .
