French Conversation

Contact: Jacquie Clark

The French Conversation Group are meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 14:00 in members' houses.

Contact Jacquie, using the bird on this page for details.

The group is made up mostly of 'rusty returners', keen to refresh school knowledge or maintain the level we have achieved on visiting France in later years.

We are working through a teaching magazine specifically designed for groups like ours called 'Rendezvous'. There is an accompanying CD and we prepare a few pages as homework. We also write a short piece which we read to the group, for example, about a recent holiday or experience.

In the past, we have gone, as a group, to French films being performed locally or occasionally to the French Institute in Edinburgh who show monthly free films. Visitors to the group will be made very welcome and may be able to borrow CDs and copies of 'Rendezvous' to try at home.
