Faversham & District

Welcome

Fadu3a is run by the members for the members

Faversham and District u3a (Fadu3a) is part of the UK-wide u3a movement under the umbrella of the Third Age Trust (registered charity number 288007).

This is a UK-wide movement of locally-run interest groups that provide a wide range of opportunities to come together to learn for fun. Members explore new ideas, skills and activities together.

There are 1,035 u3as with nearly 400,000 members; membership costs less than £30 on average per year and is open to everyone who’s not working full-time.

u3a has members who draw upon their knowledge and experience to teach and learn from each other but there are no qualifications to pass – it is just for pleasure. Learning is its own reward. Everyone is a volunteer: a typical u3a will be home to many activity groups covering hundreds of different subjects - from art to zoology and everything in between.

Fadu3a is a great place to meet new people and make friends. We opened in January 2016 and have around 320 members. Why don’t you join us?

We currently run over 40 interest groups and we also have planned trips to popular venues, lunches and trips abroad. Members have no excuse not to have a great social life with Fadu3a!

We meet on the third Wednesday of each month at the West Faversham Community Centre; doors open at 1:00pm with the meeting commencing at 1:30pm with a guest speaker, quiz or other social event. Refreshments are available before and after the main meeting. Members can also sign up for interest groups.

Do join us! Come to one of our monthly meetings, where we will make sure you are welcome, or contact the Membership Secretary via the Contact page.
