World Events Past and Present

This group runs as Zoom meetings, with occasional face-to-face meetings, every two weeks for 1.5 hrs on Wednesday morning 10.15 to 11.45, co-ordinated by members.
Group members pick a topic we all find interesting, then do a little bit of research so that we can join in with the group discussion. Previous topics have included: globalisation, success of the Mongol hordes, the relationship between religion and state, conspiracy theories, slavery, American Civil War, Middle East issues, China's Belt and Road initiative.
