Exmouth & District

Hello and Welcome to the Exmouth & District branch of the U3A. We became full members on April 1st 2012 and now feel a well established group. The U3A is an organisation for people, usually over 50, and not in full time work who wish to continue to share in life-long learning together. We have monthly meetings and many interest groups where members share learning experience, physical activities or interests. We also have a regular newsletter which can be found following the button at the top.

Members are welcome from Exmouth and its neighbourhood. So far members have joined from Budleigh Salterton, Topsham and Aylesbeare as well as Exmouth, but we look forward to welcoming people from other towns and villages nearby. Annual membership at present is £12 and covers groups, U3A resources and Magazine. An easy way to join is to come along to a Monthly Meeting or you can contact the Membership Secretary via the Contact button at the top of the page. There is a link to the membership application form on the contacts page.

There is a Monthly Meeting which is usually held on the Second Thursday of the month at 10am. Coffee, tea and biscuits are available at a small cost to provide an opportunity for socialising at the start of the meeting. Then there is often a speaker, though sometimes we hold alternative sessions, please see the Meetings List via the button at the top of the page.

Interest groups cover many fields from academic through exercise to social. There is more information about them on the Groups page. They mostly meet in members' homes.

We have a Social Committee that arranges various trips and events throughout the year. Details can be found by using the button for Social Events at the top of the page.

Contacts can be found using the link at the top of the page.
