Linda’s Walks (6 to 12 miles)
This group is targeted at walkers who enjoy a long walk but not a route march. I will ask walkers to meet a good average pace. If you are a fast walker and want to head off (at your own risk) you will need to wait and meet us at points along the route. We will be walking on challenging terrain, in rain or shine and on the whole it will be undulating. There will be many obstacles including stiles, stepping stones and the odd bull.
I will supply you with a map of the route and provide opportunities to stop at points of interest en route and give you information and stories about them.
The aim of the experience is to enjoy the company, the surroundings, the wildlife, and the places of interest along the way.
We will undertake a variety of experiences including coastal, moorland, woodland and heaths, on both circular or linear walks, using public transport or car sharing.
On some walks we may have a pub lunch on others a packed lunch.
The current schedule is ad hoc as I would like to be flexible to members wants and needs.
Walk planners welcome, also volunteers as back markers.
Walking uniform not required, wear whatever you feel comfortable in; however I insist on good walking boots and some waterproofs packed in your rucksack.
Hope you will join me.
