Yoga is a terrific way to keep all your joints moving freely, and does much to improve difficult nagging chronic conditions such as back pain, shoulder mobility and sciatica. The teacher is Shiva Priya and many people who have attended her classes over the years report much improvement. In a number of cases the problems have been relieved completely with regular attendance. Yogic relaxation techniques are also excellent tools to help manage stress, tiredness and depression.
Yoga has something for everyone whether you are young or old (Shiva's students' ages have ranged between 25 and 85), male or female, able or not so able. Yoga helps keep the body supple yet strong and also calms and quietens the mind, whilst encouraging us to be mentally alert and to feel alive. Yoga brings about balance, strength and flexibility and offers peace of mind in an ever-changing world.
Shiva is a Sivananda trained teacher and her classes are based on the Sivananda style which gives equal emphasis to physical postures and stretches, breathing practices and relaxation techniques. She is also professionally trained in Indian Head Massage and Natural Lift Face Massage.
Each 90-minute yoga class costs £7.00, payable in advance for a half-term. If you are interested in joining or require further information, please contact Shiva either
