Highlights of previous walks

We have participated in a variety of walks around the local area; towns, villages, countryside and coastline.

On January 15th, 16 walkers met at Franklins for coffee; our plan to catch the number 57 bus to Countess Weir was scuppered due to an accident blocking the A376 road, so undaunted we caught the train to Topsham to continue with our planned walk from Countess Weir. We enjoyed walking along the Canal tow path into Exeter Quay led by Geoff, and we were surprised to find flowering snow
drops and daffodils along the way. After an enjoyable lunch at the Prospect Inn we made our way back to Countess Weir on a different route to catch the bus home. A good start to the year on a dry day.

Displayed are some photographs capturing the mood and sights of different walks.

In August 2012, we joined Exeter U3A on a joint walk along the Byes to Sidmouth.

For the Coast to Coast Walk in July 2012 see the link from our main page to photographs and a detailed report submitted by Tiverton U3A Walking Group.
