Members of the knitting group (complete with ‘knitted’ dogs) handing over Twiddlemuffs to Gemma, one of the care staff at St Monica’s Nursing Home, Sandford, North Somerset.
Residents have Alzheimers / Senile Dementia to varying degrees of severity but all need expert and sensitive care, which they receive at this wonderful facility.

People with dementia often have restless hands and like to have something to keep their hands occupied. It provides a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation and, at the same time, keeping hands snug and warm.
