Discussion
The Discussion Group meets on the 1st Friday of each month at 10.15am at the homes of some group members. It is not a debating society but an opportunity for a small group of friends to exchange often very varying opinions amicably and with respect even when we disagree. Members take it in turn to choose a topic to discuss a week before we meet so we can respond to changing local, national and world events. We usually discuss one serious subject and a lighter one and we do a lot of laughing. We also sometimes share personal information in the course of conversation and agree to keep such details confidential within the group.
