Ewyas Harold & District

Ewyas Harold u3a (We have now dissolved)

Ewyas Harold and District U3A was founded in 2013. Based in the village of Ewyas Harold, Herefordshire, its membership came from the large rural area of the Golden Valley and beyond and attracted over 70 members. It held regular monthly meetings and organised a wide range of interest groups, led by members, ranging from Drama to Archery, Singing to French, Craft to Yoga.

Sadly the branch was forced to close on 30 December 2021. After two years of the pandemic it was proving impossible to recruit new members to the committee (many of whom had been in place since the start) and as we lacked volunteers to take up key officer roles there was no option but to take the decision to close.

The better news is that a number of the interest groups are continuing to operate as stand alone entities - these are -
Bridge, Creative Writing, Cycling (two levels), Food, History and Wine Appreciation. The Pub Lunch group will also continue. Existing members of these groups can contact group leaders for information.
If you wish to know more about any of the groups contact Diana who was the Groups Secretary on palmer.diana13@gmail.com

Our committee would like to thank all the members who contributed so much over our eight years - we had good times and made good friends!
