Welcome to Ewyas Harold U3A
Note that monthly meetings and group activities are currently suspended because of the Coronavirus Isolation
The University of the Third Age is a national and international network of self-regulating, local associations. The national representative body for U3As in the UK is The Third Age Trust.
Ewyas Harold U3A was created in 2013 and has 76 members (January 2020) who live in Ewyas Harold, Vowchurch, Peterchurch, Grosmont, Longtown, Dorstone and other surrounding areas.
Members are normally retired and co-operate to continue existing interests and explore new ones. No qualifications are required, and none given.
Interest groups set their own agendas and work at their own comfortable pace. To find out more about the history and ethos of the U3A, access the Third Age Trust website www.u3a.org.uk
Where do we meet?
We meet once a month, at 2pm, on the second Wednesday at
Ewyas Harold Memorial Hall, Pontrilas Road, Ewyas Harold, HR2 0EL.
We usually have a presentation from a guest speaker which is then followed by "social time" when tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are available to purchase for a nominal contribution, making the afternoon a pleasant social occasion.
For further information on our current and future activities, please see the Groups page
What does it cost?
Membership of Ewyas Harold U3A provides access to monthly meetings, unlimited interest groups, special events, a monthly newsletter and 5 issues of Third Age Matters magazine delivered to members' homes.
There is an annual membership fee of £20, which is reduced to £18 if you pay before April 30th. Joining part way through the financial year will entitle you to a proportionately reduced charge.
