We meet at Ecgwins (former BBC club) the second Monday of each month. The doors open at 10.00 for a 10.15 start.
We explore a large range of art, in time, style, and place. A fullish list of what we have done in the past appears below the current programme.
We have about 30 regular members, and we can take more. We work on the principle of sharing ideas and expertise, and some of us take it in turns to research and present about our chosen topics. It’s not compulsory, but any offers would be welcome. Sometimes we have DVDs instead, and we have outings to galleries from time to time. We have visited Compton Verney, the Ashmolean in Oxford, and Birmingham Art Gallery. We welcome suggestions as to where future trips might take us, as well what aspects of art we could explore. Afterwards there is group discussion, followed by tea or coffee. The cost for all this is £3.00 per session.
