Painting for Pleasure
Painting for pleasure is a small group of artists who help and encourage each other and enjoy the opportunity to paint quietly in a friendly atmosphere. We do not have a teacher but share our expertise.
Members range from beginners to accomplished painters and use a variety of mediums; watercolour, acrylics, oil paint, pastels and pen and wash. Despite our group name, drawing and sketching are also encouraged. At some meetings there is a suggested topic with material available e.g. still life, architecture, seascapes, at others everyone carries on with whatever project they choose.
We now meet at Wallace House from 10 - 12 noon each Wednesday EXCEPT the last Wednesday in the month. We have use of a small kitchen so members can make tea/coffee.
