Epsom & Ewell

Mah-Jong

Mah-Jong 1 and 2 meet fortnightly as arranged.

Mah-Jong is a fascinating Chinese game played with a set of ornate pieces called tiles.
We don’t play as rapidly as the Chinese but everyone enjoys the sessions.
Beginners and experienced players are welcome.

Mahjong in a time of Covid-19
Felicitations! to all those of you who are stuck at home. Let’s keep communicating and we won’t feel so lonely or cut off.
I have found an app that you can use called ‘Four Winds’ which means you can play Mahjong at home. You can put your own name into this Game. It claims 4.4 stars! However, it plays with as many ‘chows’ as you like and does not play ‘clean’. It is a version of our game only. Probably better than none though. Further information here
There are several good sites for learning the game. You can go on to Facebook or YouTube and watch ‘How to play Mahjong’ . There is a very good written explanation on this site:-
