Snap & Stroll
This group was formed in 2010 and organises walks in different locations around London or the surrounding countryside. Walks are taken at a leisurely pace and are dedicated to taking photographs and sharing knowledge. Walks occur at different times Details about walks are published in the monthly Newsreel shown at the main monthly meetings of Epping Forest U3A and also in the News or Notices sections accessible via the Welcome page of this web site.
The group is led by Pat Brown who can be reached via the Groups Co-ordinator on the Contact page. Here is her account of the history of this group.
"This group was formed in 2010 when I realised I couldn't take pictures on an organised walk without being left behind! We are a self-help group, from very experienced to novice, all sharing the joy of photography. Due to prospective weather conditions our meetings are ad hoc, normally monthly and generally on a Friday morning commencing around 10.30am at our chosen rendezvous. Portobello Road and Epping Forest are just a couple of the areas we have visited. Members make suggestions and may be source a planned walk. Where possible we break for coffee half way through our walk so that we can review and discuss our work so far. We generally have a theme to focus on. When we have completed our planned stroll, and for those members that want to have lunch, we find a public house.
If you would like to belong to this group please find my contact details in the Prospectus and I will add you to our group email list. We are looking forward to meeting you. Happy snapping. Pat"
