Welcome to Enderby U3A

Our next speaker on the 18th March, 2020 has entitled his talk "Oprah Winfrey touched my elbow". I believe this is a light hearted view of his encounters with the great and the good. Again it sounds like it will be funny, informative and entertaining all rolled into one. Do come along and join us if you can.

If you missed the talk on the 18th Feb then you missed a treat. Andrew was a very interesting speaker, very knowledgeable and entertaining. We hope to get him back next year to talk on one of his many other presentations he has. Try and come if you can, it's worth it.

U3A stands for The University of the Third Age, and is an independent, national institution with local branches throughout the country, run by volunteers. The U3A brings together people who have retired, or semi retired, from active employment and who want to learn new skills or continue to pursue old hobbies or interests in the company of others.

The aim is to draw on the knowledge, experience and skills of its members to organise and provide interest groups, thereby creating educational, creative and leisure opportunities with each other in a friendly environment. The U3A approach to learning is – learning for pleasure.

Enderby Area U3A was formed over twenty years ago. We have an increasing number of interest groups and our membership continues to grow.

Our location is such that we are able to welcome people from many surrounding villages.

We meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.45 in the Civic Centre in Enderby, where we are happy to welcome full members and visitors alike. We enjoy a variety of lively and interesting speakers, followed by refreshments, making it a pleasant social occasion. There is an annual registration fee of £12, and an entrance fee of £1
