Leicester Mercury and Doreen
Doreen has received a letter from the Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sports
people saying that following her sucess in winning the Oldest Athlete Award,
they have nominated her for one of the Mercury Sports awards.
Update to this 'breaking news'
Doreen has now heard from the Mercury that she has been nominated as a finalist
for their "Active for Life" award and has been invited to their presentation
evening on Thursday 20th January at Leicester City ground. Isn't that
great? Little did we know our initial nomination was going so far!
