Established in 2009, The Intermediate Spanish Group meets twice a month for 2 hours and works at an intermediate level. We have been following the BBC World Spanish Sueños series and a number of on-line tutorials. However, in the last year, we have shared the responsibility of planning and running the session around the group. In this way, everyone gets a chance to decided what and how they want to learn and use the time allocated. In advance of each session, the nominated organiser sends out the session briefing and a crossword is also sent out in advance of the session.
As of June 2020, we have 13 members in the group and prior to CV19 we met in each others homes for each session. (currently using zoom)
This is a very friendly group which has added a number of new members over the past year. We occasionally enjoy the company of Spanish guests which improves our learning. The main emphasis is on comprehension and speaking.
Each year we have a social gathering either in someones home or in a restaurant.
