For. many years Deane was Hampshire County Council’s Head of Historic Building’s Bureau. 1n the 1970s Fareham historic core was very under threat from unsympathetic rebuilding , having threatened to replace a complete Conservation area .( The High Street. All listed buildings of historic interest ,
The street was saved by explaining the economic value of the Georgian and mediaeval
Townscape . I think we have much to look forward to!
|Fri Sep 2nd||Guide walk Hambledon by Andrew Negus. Start 2.00pm|
Andrew says......You may want to meet in the Vine Pub at 1.30, maybe a coffee and use of the loos. and we begin the walk next door.
Andrew also says...... Could you please get the group to save my reputation, and park in West St, where the pub is, and not fill up the Village Hall car park. This is because the car park is sometimes needed for those attending a function in the Hall.
