This newly formed group will meet on 1st Thursday at 2.00pm each month. The aim is a (not too serious) forum on Science, Engineering Technology. We will have a very wide scope. Examples in mind include: Space Exploration, Global Warming, Physics, Chemistry, Medical Science, Computer Science, Electronic Systems, Green Technology and Electric Cars.
We strongly encourage Talks by Group members or Discussions, with volunteers to lead the discussion. Talks from external speakers may also be possible. We will discuss ideas for the next topic a month beforehand, giving members a chance to do a bit of personal research and perhaps contribute with mini presentations?
There is a surprising range and depth of experience in Science, Medical Science, Engineering and Technology within the group. Already a healthy number of talks has been volunteered! We look forward to some fascinating afternoons.
Finally, social interaction and chats about almost anything are encouraged – we are here for the company and to enjoy ourselves!
New members are assured of a warm welcome by this enthusiastic and friendly group.
