Book Lovers If you love reading, this is the group for you. We meet monthly, normally in the Ely library. Each month we have a different theme, and read one or more books on the subject and at the meeting describe whether our choice of book has lived up to our expectations, and whether we have enjoyed it. It is a really good way of gaining an introduction to different authors. But Book Lovers is more than a reading group; sharing member’s interest in everything to do with books.

If you would rather be in a group in which you all read and discuss the same book then Bookmarkers is for you. In this group, each member takes it in turn to choose a book 3-4 months in advance, and then hosts the meeting to discuss it.
Meeting are held in members homes on the 2nd Monday of each month at 2 pm and extra members would be welcome.

The Cryptic Crossword Group meet in each other’s houses on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 2.30. We usually tackle 3 crosswords together from various sources and of varied degrees of difficulty and have a lot of fun doing it.

Poetry The Poetry Group meets every two weeks in member’s homes for two hours or so to read poetry following a pre-chosen theme. Next meeting Wednesday 22nd March 2023 at 2.30pm.
