Gardens and Plants

During the Covid-19 lockdown, Garden Groups 1 and 2 combined to publish U3A Garden News edited alternately by Joan Wall and David Latham. Also Botany Group produced a weekly U3A Plant News edited by Helen Moore. Issues of each newsletter may be viewed by clicking the appropriate link on this page. With the return of regular meetings these newsletters have come to an end.

Garden 1 has resumed its garden visits and now with the weather changing, meetings have moved indoors to Ely Methodist Church Hall. These are planned to continue as before, every third Tuesday of the month, 2pm for 2:15pm (see Dates for Your Diary). For more information, contact the group's coordinator, David Peek by using the message button on this page.

A £15.00 sub covers the cost of venue hire, speakers and refreshments for a year from joining. Prospective members could attend as guests for a £2.00 fee. Botany Group met on the 2nd Monday of the month, either on a field trip or 10-12pm in the Communal Room, Militia Way.
