Joining Online
Follow the process described below and you will be taken to Beacon, our online administrative system. You will need to enter your personal details in an online form and then pay. Two people sharing the same address can join at the same time as Joint members with a single payment to cover both members. Payment online must be by PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to do this. (You do create a temporary account but it lasts only until your payment goes through.) As you will see you can simply route a credit or debit card payment via PayPal. Please note that, in the case of Joint Membership, it is the Gift Aid status of the person paying that applies and that a single payment covering two Joint Members can be Gift Aided for the full amount.
To begin the application process, click Beacon Join Elmbridge U3A online and follow the instructions. Have your mobile phone to hand because PayPal may want to send you a security code to be sure that you are who you say you are. Please note data input is case sensitive so please only use capitals where appropriate. If you want to pay by credit or debit card via PayPal look out for the option PayPal by Card.
If you are eligible for Gift Aid, please ensure that the box labelled “Tick if you pay UK tax and wish U3A to claim Gift Aid on your subscription” is ticked.
