RAMBLING
Walks are held on the second Friday of every month and normally start at 10 o’clock prompt. They are between four and five miles long, covered at a leisurely pace and usually finish by 12.30pm. The routes take in such places as East Dean, Birling Gap, the Downs, Pevensey, Abbot’s Wood, Arlington, Friston Forest and Seaford Head. The terrain can vary from flat to undulating to hilly, through woods, fields, tracks and trails, and may include some stiles.
There is no restriction on numbers and members should come suitably dressed for the prevailing weather conditions. You should bring your own refreshments, if required, for the 15-20 minute break at the halfway point. Depending on the route, refreshments may also be available from a local café.
Details of the upcoming walks, including the meeting point, can be found in the Windmill magazine and on any links on the right. The items listed on the right under links are viewable by members only in a password restricted area. You will need to enter user name and password to view. The user name and password will be changed annually.
