Literature across Cultures
Meets 2nd Thursday of the month
For the time and venue contact the group leader
This is a new study group which will consider literature, written in English, by a variety of writers who are concerned with the experience of interaction between cultures and ways of living in the world. In the first session will read short stories or poems, which can either be accessed online or available as a hard copy, before moving on to consider E. M. Forster's 1924 novel 'A Passage to India'. Although initially the group will be tutor led, once everyone feels comfortable it will increasingly respond to members agreed suggestions about what to read and leadership can be shared between members. For more details contact the group leader. Details are in the study booklet issued to all members.
