British Ceramics 1750-1850
1st Thursday of the month 2.30 - 4pm
A series of monthly meetings looking at British ceramics from 1750 to 1850, which was the development period for the ceramics we use today and starting with Chinese imports and the early English porcelain factories in London. We will then go on to look how the industry spread around the British Isles, finishing with the mass-produced fine ceramics that saturated the market in Victorian times. Mike has spoken on the subject around the south-east and will have representative pots for you to see and handle. To join the group please contact the group leader. Details are in the study booklet issued to all members.
