East Berwickshire

Welcome to East Berwickshire U3A

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a convivial group of older people, from all walks of life, who meet together to share learning, creative and leisure activities.

The East Berwickshire U3A is based in Eyemouth, with a catchment area South to Berwick, West to Duns and North to Cockburnspath. EBU3A was established in 2000 and now has 200 members and 21 groups.

You don't need any qualifications to join and no qualifications are awarded. We organise activities for older people no longer in full time work.

If you are interested in joining us, you can send an e-mail request to our Membership Secretary.

The annual membership fee for 2019/2020 is £20 with an additional optional charge of £2.50 for postage for five U3A magazines. You can also see the magazines free on line at U3A Publications

Part of the Annual membership fee pays a 'capitation fee' to the national Third Age Trust and U3A Scotland, to cover insurance costs, the production of the U3A magazines and other support services. The remaining monies collected help to support:

  • Invited speakers at our monthly meetings
  • Administrative costs
  • Hired accommodation for many of the group activities

Enrolment Day is on Wednesday 4th September 2019, from 2pm to 4pm at Eyemouth Community Centre.
The following documents give details of the Enrolment process:
