Opportunity for a new Treasurer

The U3A in Scotland Treasurer is moving to England and will not be able to continue in this role after the end of the financial year. We are looking for a volunteer to be co-opted on to the Committee to shadow the Treasurer, 'learn the ropes' and become familiar with the system before taking over the role of Treasurer. Please circulate this message to any of your members who may be interested in this opportunity.

Thirteen members of EBU3A attended a training session on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)which was delivered by officers from the Fire Service in Duns. We learnt how to recognise the signs of Cardiac Arrest and how to carry out CPR. As shown in the photographs it was very interactive and everyone had an opportunity to practice CPR on the manikins provided. We were then shown how to use a defibrillator.
We extend our thanks to the Fire Service for providing this valuable training.
