BIRDWATCHING (David Hunter)
This is an informal Group for anyone with an interest in bird life whatever their level of experience.
OUR NORMAL PROGRAMME:
On our monthly outings we travel to areas where birds would be expected and help each other to spot, identify and learn more about them. Stout footwear and weatherproof clothing advised, and don’t forget binoculars. No dogs please.
Mostly morning outings, but two full day trips are planned. Car sharing from Eyemouth can generally be arranged.
Monthly, on the second Friday 9:30 - 12:30 (occasionally 5:00pm); Meet at Eyemouth Co-op car park if car sharing or go direct to the adevrtised start point for the outing. Except on the all day trips, groups are limited to about twelve. If any destination is oversubscribed, a repeat visit can generally be arranged for the third or fourth Friday.
DURING THE COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS:
Our normal programme is suspended, but on the days when our outings would have taken place we will meet by Zoom at 10am for a brief presentation about some aspect of birdwatching and a chance to chat about what we've been seeing.
If you'd like an invitation to join the Zoom meetings, use the 'send a message' link at the top right of this page and ask to be put on the mailing list.
