**Whilst John Deighton is incapacitated, Sue Peach has taken over organising this group - she can be contacted by email through the blue bird, right**
The next meeting will start at 10am on Friday, 31 May at the NEW VENUE, the Kings Arms, 55 The Grove, Ealing W5 5DX
Topic: Please bring an item or items of your family’s past with an interesting story. This could be anything from a photograph to an ornament, for example.
The Kings Arms is a few minutes’ walk from Ealing Green Church and lies behind Ealing Shopping Centre. Chris and Caroline from The New Inn are now based there and cater for snacks and lunch as before.
The Group was first formed in 2004 with members interested in finding out about their families and their history; there is no waiting list, you can be a complete novice or someone who can help others.
Meetings take several forms as follows: -
1. Workshops where we look at information and see what can be gathered from items as birth / marriage / death certificates, census and parish records, wills and local history.
2. Discuss progress on our research and other members of the group will offer advice and help in gaining information. Members who may not have progressed with their research can often offer help to others.
3. Visits to places of interest where we can help each other in researching records.
If anyone would like the group to discuss a particular area/topic please let us know;
We look forward to seeing you on Friday, 31 May.
