=======================================
Family History group
The Group was first formed in 2004 with members interested in finding out about their families and their history; there is no waiting list, you can be a complete novice or someone who can help others.
Meetings take several forms as follows: -
1. Workshops where we look at information and see what can be gathered from items as birth / marriage / death certificates, census and parish records, wills and local history.
2. Discuss progress on our research and other members of the group will offer advice and help in gaining information. Members who have progressed with their research can often offer help to others.
3. Visits to places of interest where we can help each other in researching records. a drink, snack or lunch and chat.
If anyone would like the group to discuss a particular area/topic please let us know.
NB The Family History Group is able to offer one-to-one introductions to members who wish to start researching their family tree but do not know where to start. These would be arranged at times to suit both the member and instructor. If you wish to take this up, please contact Sue via the blue bird.
Convener: Sue Peach, via email through the blue bird above right.
